One mid week in London, GC and I found we were both staying up overnight.
"Lets go for dinner and a few drinks" he said.
After dinner and a few drinks, we found a little locals pub with chess board built into the tables and chess sets behind the bar.
Sensing an opportunity GC suggested a little game of chess, and after first moves he followed that up suggesting we make it interesting with a little bet. Needless to say this was a hidden skill and he had played chess before, and combined with his competitive spirit taking over very quickly, he won three games in a row insisting just one more until the pub closed.
Like everything he did in or outside of work, he made it fun and attacked it with a massive amount of enthusiasm and energy.
